Delete your Kitab account or data
Your data is yours. You can erase some of it or delete your whole account at any time, and it costs nothing.
In the app
Open Kitab and go to More › App › Data (on a computer: your name at the top right › Data). Choose Delete my data to erase what you pick, or Delete account to remove everything.
What is deleted and what is kept
- Delete my data: the kinds you pick (transactions & bills, loans, assets & net worth, goals, reports & exports) are erased from Kitab's servers at once. Your account, plan and settings stay. For each erased record we keep only a marker with no content, so your other devices know to remove their copy.
- Delete account: after a 14-day window, your account and everything in it are deleted for good: profile (name, email, phone), every record you entered, settings, signed-in devices, notifications and push tokens. Nothing is kept after that.
- Emails Kitab already sent you stay in your own inbox. Files you exported and saved stay wherever you saved them.
